It seems there as many approaches to energy healing as there are manifestations of energy, Chakra cleansing, crystal singing bowl therapy, acupuncture, healing touch, Reiki, crystal healing, acupressure,  quantum touch, and more. All of these methods of energy healing depend on the natural flow of energy along meridians in the human body. Many of these disciplines are also heavily focused on Chakras. To truly understand how healing energy works in our bodies, we first need to understand meridians and Chakras.

Chakras

Seven spinning energy centers located in the subtle body, starting at the base of the spine and moving up to the crown of the head. These centers regulate the dispersal of spiritual energy, and each chakra is aligned with certain areas of emotional and physical health. The seven chakras are referred to as the Crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and root.

Meridians

Based on traditional Chinese medicine, meridians are invisible pathways where life force energy flows through the body. Blockages anywhere along these pathways can cause our body to be out of balance and create physical, mental, and psychological symptoms.

Energy block

In energy healing, unobstructed movement along meridian paths and through the seven chakras is the ultimate goal. Energy blocks, which can occur because of bodily injury or emotional pain, are cleared or cleansed to bring balance back to the subtle body.

Here are some energy healing methods that you might want to try. Most of these modalities will be available locally, if not, you can find videos, and additional education here and on other websites.

Crystal bowl healing

Crystal bowl healing is a sound therapy which uses vibrational energy to clear chakras. Each crystal bowl aligns with a specific chakra. The bowls correspond to the musical notes CDEFGBA.

The practitioner activates each bowl which produces the note that in turn stimulates the corresponding chakra. Short sessions may focus on certain chakras (for particular maladies), while longer sessions usually attend to each chakra starting at the root and commencing with the head or crown.

Acupressure

Acupressure practitioners apply pressure to points along the body’s meridians. Unlike acupuncture, needles are not used. Acupressure provides many benefits including stress relief, joint pain, digestive issues, headaches, and chronic pain.

Reflexology

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, involves the application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques. Each zone, when manipulated, brings healing to a specific area of the body.

Quantum Touch

Hands-on healing. Directs healing energy using touch, breathing techniques and self-awareness. The Quantum touch energy healing method essentially boosts energy to facilitate healing. As a relatively new discipline, finding a local practitioner may be difficult. There are several books on Amazon etc. that can guide you through Quantum Touch.

There are many other energy healing techniques and we invite you to explore all of them. Some methods will work well for you, others may not. One thing is for certain, if you want to truly vibe, you need some energy healing.
